Support coverage for Low-Budget Repairs must separate official PC requirements from launch-tested troubleshooting. The current Steam page lists Windows 10 64-bit, 8 GB RAM minimum, 16 GB recommended, 30 GB storage and specific GPU tiers. It also lists Steam Cloud, Achievements and Family Sharing. It does not establish native macOS/Linux support, Steam Deck behavior, Proton compatibility or controller fixes.

Check the published requirements

Minimum requirements are AMD Ryzen 5 first generation or Intel Core i5 seventh generation, 8 GB RAM, Radeon RX 580 4GB or GTX 1060 6GB, and 30 GB available space. Recommended requirements are Ryzen 5 third generation or Intel Core i5 tenth generation, 16 GB RAM, RX 5700 XT 8GB or RTX 2070 8GB, and 30 GB storage.

These values are official as of 2026-08-09. A machine meeting minimum requirements is not guaranteed to deliver a particular frame rate, resolution or quality setting.

Keep platform claims narrow

The store page lists Windows 10 64-bit. Do not turn a community Proton report into native Linux support. Steam Deck, ultrawide, controller and macOS claims need a reproducible test with the build, settings and input device recorded.

Handle Steam Cloud carefully

Steam Cloud is a listed feature. Exact save filenames, conflict resolution and recovery behavior are not established in this audit. Do not publish a guessed save path or tell a player to delete files without a confirmed backup procedure.

Report a reproducible issue

Include the AppID, build or release date, Windows version, CPU, GPU, RAM, resolution, graphics settings, input device, scene, steps and whether the issue repeats. This is more useful than a generic “low FPS” label.

Wait for launch evidence

The development announcement says the team was polishing and fixing system behavior. That makes post-launch support updates important, but it does not prove a specific crash, stutter or fix. The Updates hub should link official patch notes when they exist.

Test one variable at a time

For a performance issue, keep the resolution, preset, scene and driver version visible. For an input issue, name the controller, connection and action. For a save issue, record whether Steam Cloud was enabled and whether the local copy was backed up. This turns a vague complaint into evidence that can be checked after a patch.

Do not publish a fix just because a setting sounds plausible. A launch option, compatibility layer or file edit can have side effects. First prefer the official requirements and support channels, then add a community workaround with a reproduction date and a clear rollback path.

Keep feature claims factual

The current store page lists Single-player, Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing. It does not list multiplayer, native Linux or macOS. A support article can state those boundaries directly and still be useful; it does not need to fill the page with speculative fixes.

Update the evidence after a patch

When an official patch changes requirements or corrects a crash, update the affected article and link the official announcement. Keep a short historical note when the old behavior explains reports from an earlier build. Do not rewrite a community report as official history.

FAQ

Can I claim Steam Deck support?

Not from the current first-party page. Record a tested result with version and settings before publishing one.

Is Steam Cloud official?

Yes, it is listed on the current store page. File-level behavior still needs a released-build check.

How much storage is required?

The store lists 30 GB for both minimum and recommended requirements.

Separate a bug from a missing fact

Before reporting a fault, confirm the AppID, build or release date, objective, Windows version and hardware. A difference between a Demo and the base game is not automatically a bug. A community workaround is useful only when the reproduction steps and scope are visible.

When an issue affects a save, make a backup before testing recovery. Do not delete files, disable cloud sync or change launch options unless the procedure is verified for this game and build. Steam Cloud being listed as a feature does not reveal its conflict behavior.

Keep support pages current

Review the official store page after each major update for changed requirements or platform notes. Review official Steam announcements for fixes. Keep a report that no longer reproduces as historical rather than presenting it as a current solution.

Use the right escalation path

Start with the Steam store and official announcement history for requirements, release status and patch information. Use a player report to reproduce a problem, not to establish a permanent feature policy. If a workaround touches saves or compatibility layers, preserve the original files and document how to undo the test.

Support is strongest when it tells a player what is known, what to measure and which evidence would change the answer. That is a real service even when the game has not yet exposed a final launch build.

Keep the official Windows requirement and the unverified compatibility topics in separate sections so a reader never mistakes a pending test for a supported platform.

The same rule applies to controller layouts, save locations, graphics presets and crash workarounds.

Record each pending test with its platform and release state.

For a future troubleshooting article, include the exact menu path, setting, input device, graphics preset and expected result. Explain whether the procedure is reversible, whether a backup is needed, and whether the result was reproduced more than once. This turns support from broad reassurance into a safe checklist that can be audited after an official patch.
